ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - As Second Harvest Community Food Bank has spent much of the last few months making pop-up pantry stops in Nodaway County, they've received a helping hand.
Communications Coordinator Blake Haynes told KXCV/KRNW that the Missouri National Guard has taken the place of often-elderly volunteers amid the pandemic.
Haynes says the national guard will lead the food bank's distribution effort at the Jefferson C-123 School Building in Conception Junction, on July 20.
