SHENANDOAH, Iowa - The Shenandoah Chamber and Industry board voted to cancel Shenfest, originally scheduled for September 26.
Chamber Marketing Director Shelly Warner told KXCV/KRNW that several factors, including the pandemic, went into the board's decision.
Warner added that the Iowa High School Band Association canceling their contests, as well as the cancellation of concert events and the Miss Shenandoah pageant factored into the decision.
Planning for next year's celebration, the 150th Shenfest, will begin soon.
