BARNARD, Mo. - After facing more than $50,000 in cuts at the end of the last school year, the South Nodaway R-4 School District has avoided direct faculty cuts, instead eliminating open positions.
But Superintended Johnnie Silkett told KXCV/KRNW that could change if cuts continue, as they have to start the 2020-2021 Fiscal Year.
Silkett adds the district is facing another $50,000 in cuts to start the next fiscal year and could face even more cuts in the future if the Medicaid Expansion ballot initiative is passed by Missouri voters next month.
