MARYVILLE, Mo. - A teach-in series happening this fall at Northwest Missouri State University will explore topics of race in America.
The series, called "Occupy Valk," will feature Department of Humanities and Social Sciences faculty speaking about a political or social justice issue.
The series begins tonight at 7 p.m. with Dr. Dawn Gilley presenting, "Is Western Civilization a White Supremacist Notion?"
The series will be held every other Thursday in Room 118 of the Valk Center. It will also be livestreamed on the Humanities and Social Sciences at Northwest Facebook page.
