ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - With the harvest season for soybeans arriving soon, the University of Missouri Extension office is reminding row crop farmers to check the moisture levels of their beans.
Agronomy Field Specialist Wayne Flanary told KXCV/KRNW that the target moisture level is 13%.
Flanary says it's typically better to take some dockage with soybeans at local elevators with high moisture levels than taking losses on low moisture beans.
