Nodaway County health officials confirm eighth COVID-19 related death


MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Nodaway County Health Department has announced an eighth COVID-19 death in the county. The Health Department says the latest victim was a woman in her 80s. No other details about the victim were released.

Health officials also announced four more cases of COVID-19 in the county. The latest patients are a boy in his teens, two men in their 20s, and a woman in her 80s.

This now brings the total number of cases in the county up to 686; 76 of those cases are still active. Northwest Missouri State University says of those 76 active cases, 13 involve Northwest students or employees.
