BOONE, Iowa - Iowa's annual pheasant survey shows a significant increase in popular game bird numbers.
Upland Wildlife Biologist for the Iowa Department of Natural Resources Todd Bogenschutz told KXCV/KRNW that Iowa averaged over 20 birds per 30-mile route.
Bogenschutz anticipates another good pheasant season this Fall and Winter. The next pheasant season begins Oct. 31 and runs through Jan. 10.
