ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - Transport 360 is working with the St. Joseph Regional Port to transport wind turbines up the Missouri river.
The port now has concrete unloading zones made for cranes to help unload barges. President and CEO of Transport 360 Bill Becker told KXCV/KRNW that the river helps ease turbine shipping from other methods.
In all, 16 barges of turbine blades are expected within the next year.
