Trenton city council raises water and sewer rates

TRENTON, Mo. - The Trenton City Council made a costly vote at its latest meeting. City Administrator Ron Urton told KXCV/KRNW that the council voted to increase the city's water rates by 15% and sewage rates by 20%.

Urton says the city's utility infrastructure is aging - 50 years old in some cases - and is in need of immediate repairs and upgrades.
