Hy-Vee to begin offering childhood vaccinations


WEST DES MOINES, Iowa - Hy-Vee has announced that it will be offering childhood vaccinations, including flu shots, at its pharmacy locations.

Strategic communications director for HyVee Dawn Buzynski told KXCV/KRNW that parents and kids should have nothing to worry about when getting their shots.

In addition to the standard flu vaccine, pharmacies will also be offering any vaccine that a patient would receive at a well-child visit, including measles and chicken pox.

Immunizations can be given by a Hy-Vee pharmacist without a prescription or an appointment, and Medicaid and most insurance plans will cover the cost. For more information, visit hyvee.com/my-pharmacy.
