DES MOINES, Iowa - The Iowa Department of Natural Resources has launched a new online database. The Iowa DNR says the free deer exchange is a spot where deer hunters can connect with Iowans who want venison.
For hunters, all they need to do is their information into the database, including their location in the state.
As for hungry Iowans, all they need to do is choose the condition they want the meat when they register, like bone out, quartered, or frozen.
The free deer exchange database can be found at iowadnr.gov/deerhunting.
