The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a man was seriously injured in a single-vehicle wreck over the weekend.
The Patrol says 36-year-old Kevin Armstrong, of Atchison, Kansas, wrecked on US-59, west of Fowler Road, one mile east of Atchison, at 8:05 p.m. Saturday. Authorities say Armstrong was driving a 2000 GMC Jimmy that traveled off the road and struck a large rock. Armstrong overcorrected causing the vehicle to skid on the ground and roll.
Armstrong was transported to Mosaic Life Care in Saint Joseph with serious injuries. Armstrong was not wearing a seatbelt.
