Junior point guard Trevor Hudgins picked up right where he left off in March, reeling in the first MIAA Player of the Week award from the conference Monday afternoon.
Named the MIAA Player of the Year during the 2019-20 campaign, Hudgins began his quest to the award again this season with a stellar performance in the season-opening game at Rogers State.
Hudgins finished the game with 27 points on 6-10 shooting from the field and 13-15 at the free throw line. He added five rebounds, four assists and three steals in a hard-fought 86-78 road win.
The Manhattan, KS native won the award four times last year.
The Bearcats are off this week. They return to action December 3 at home against Central Missouri.
