WASHINGTON - The elder population has been at increased risk this year because of the pandemic, and one website says one state in the KXCV/KRNW listening area is doing a good at protecting them from abuse.
WalletHub looked at several metrics, including elder abuse complaints, expenditures by states to protect the elderly, and nursing home quality.
For our listening area, Iowa came in at 8th when it comes to best elder abuse protections. Meanwhile, Kansas ranked 29th, Missouri ranked 34th, and Nebraska came in at 43rd.
WalletHub found the best state for elder abuse protections was Massachusetts.
