MARYVILLE, Mo. - Maryville's City Council heard from Northwest Missouri State University's Associate Provost for Diversity and Inclusion Justin Mallett at its latest meeting.
After releasing the Diversity and Inclusion Office's mid-year report last week, Mallett has taken his pursuit of equity to the Council, where all five members agreed to undergo implicit bias training.
Much of Mallett's discussion with the Council revolved around discomfort many underrepresented students feel in the community.
