CHILLICOTHE, Mo. - As COVID-19 case rates continue to decline in the jurisdiction, the mask mandate in Livingston County will expire at 11:59 p.m. Tuesday.
Mask usage will now be left up to the individual. The news comes from the north central Missouri county's health center, which issued the face covering ordinance last November.
In its announcement, the health center noted that private businesses, schools and governing bodies may still require masks on their property. The center encouraged continued social distancing and the practice of good hygiene.
