MSHP: Teenager seriously injured in wreck


TRIMBLE, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a teenager was injured in a crash. The Patrol says 19-year-old Dakota Barnes of Tracy wrecked on Southwest County Line Rd., one mile east of Trimble, at 3:12 p.m. Monday.

Authorities say Barnes was driving a 1999 Chevy SUV when he struck the rear of a 2018 Freight Truck, while the truck was slowing to make a turn.

Barnes, who was wearing a seat belt, was transported to North Kansas City Hospital with serious injuries.
