ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The Missouri Coalition for Roadway Safety and the Missouri Department of Transportation are teaming up to stop drunk driving for St. Patrick's Day, the holiday proper and weekends.
MoDOT assistant to the state highway safety and traffic engineer Jon Nelson told KXCV/KRNW that he's encouraging residents to use a designated driver.
Nelson said 188 traffic deaths in the state involved at least one substance impaired driver last year.
