BOONE, Iowa - The bitter cold and snow this winter is taking a toll on Iowa deer, and unfortunately, humans aren't helping.
Biometrician at the Iowa Department of Natural Resources Tyler Harms told KXCV/KRNW that people often think it's a good idea to put out piles of corn to help deer during this time of year, but it's not.
Harms add that it's also important to not set out grains because it changes deer behavior.
