FALLS CITY, Neb. - Falls City might be bailing it's citizens out over a massive bill.
During the latest Falls City City Council meeting, the Board of Public Works recommended using cash reserve funds to pay for the electrical bill which racked up a total of $1.4 million during the sub-zero degree weather in February.
City Manager Gary Jorn told KXCV/KRNW that they're asking the city to foot the bill instead of raising the rates of customers.
Jorn says that the company they originally buy energy from was derated due to the cold weather, which exposed energy costs to the market.KXCV-KRNW
