Highway safety in Missouri is seeing a disturbing trend: higher speeds and a lack of seatbelts in accidents.
Jon Nelson, chair of the Coalition for Roadway Safety, says these factors contribute to a higher accident and death rate in the state.
Nelson added that April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month, drivers should remember to buckle up, phone down, slow down, and drive sober.
