MDC to offer free day camp


JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Conservation will be hosting a free day camp. The camp will be available for youths ages 11 to 15 at Camp Gieger in St. Joseph.

MDC spokesperson Bill Graham told KXCV/KRNW that participants will be learn a variety of outdoor skills like archery and fishing taught by staff and volunteers.

The camp is open to boys and girls. It will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 22.

Space is limited and those wishing to attend are encouraged to apply by May 20. For more information call the Northwest Regional Office at 816-271-3100.
