MSHP: Man dies after falling off UTV


LATHROP, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol has identified a Lathrop man that died after falling out of a UTV in Clinton County over the weekend.

The Patrol says 32-year-old Robert Downs was driving the UTV on Route V, three miles south of Lathrop, when he fell out of the UTV at 1:35 a.m. Saturday.

He would later die at Liberty Hospital Saturday evening. No word yet on why he fell off the UTV. After his death, Downs' body was taken to Frontier Forensics.
