AVALON, Mo. - Two people are in the hospital with serious injuries after a collision in Livingston County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says it happened on Route JJ, one and a half miles north of Avalon, at 1:56 a.m. Monday.
The Patrol says a 2007 Ford pickup truck, driven by 33-year-old Steven Wilson of Chillicothe, slammed into the back of a UTV, which was stopped on the road.
The crash caused the UTV, driven by 75-year-old Charles Plummer of Hale, to strike a pedestrian, 63-year-old Susan Bachman of Chillicothe.
Bachman was lifeflighted to Saint Lukes on the Plaza in Kasnsas City while Plummer was lifeflighted to Liberty Hospital. Wilson was uninjured.
