Best and worst states for military retirees


WASHINGTON - According to one website, one of the best states for military retirees is right here in the KXCV/KRNW listening area. The website WalletHub says Missouri is the 9th best state for military retirees.

Kansas wasn't far behind at 11th, while Nebraska ranked at 31st. Iowa found itself in the bottom 10 for military retirees, ranking 41st.

WalletHub looked at several metrics, including homeless veteran numbers, the number of V-A facilities, job opportunities, and several other metrics. The best state for military retirees was Virginia while the worst was Oregon.
