ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - A two-vehicle wreck sent five people to the hospital on Memorial Day. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash happened on Highway 752, just east of St. Joseph, at 10:30 a.m. Monday.
The Patrol says San Juanita Pesina was driving a 2001 Kia Sephia that crossed the center of the road and struck a 2018 Dodge Caravan. Pesina suffered serious injuries while two children in the Kia suffered minor injuries. No one in the Kia was wearing a seat belt.
The driver and passenger in the Dodge, who were both wearing their seat belts, suffered minor injuries. Everyone involved was taken to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph.
