MoDOT urges drivers to stay safe this summer


JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Summer is around the corner and for some, that may mean road trips and traveling.

However, the Missouri Coalition for Roadway Safety encourages travelers to follow all vehicle safety procedures for every trip.

Assistant to the State Highway Safety and Traffic Engineer for the Missouri Department of Transportation Jon Nelson adds that there was about a 20% increase in unbuckled fatalities from 2019 to 2020.
