Dangerous heat to move into NWMO region

PLEASANT HILL, Mo. - A heat advisory will be in effect later this week in the Northwest Missouri region.

Meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill Brad Temeyer told KXCV/KRNW that the hottest days will be Wednesday and Thursday with heat index values reaching 110 degrees.

He adds that there will be a frontal boundary Thursday night going into Friday.

Temeyer says more thunderstorms along the boundary will help move the boundary further south. If the front is able to get far enough south, there will be a 30% to 40% chance of precipitation from Thursday night into Friday.
As for the heat, Temeyer suggests staying indoors with air conditioning, stay hydrated, and if you have to work outside, plan those for cooler parts of the day and take plenty of breaks.
