JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - There are a few potential regulation changes regarding recreational and commercial catfishing on some Missouri rivers, however, the Missouri Department of Conservation wants to hear from the public first.
MDC Scientist Joe McMullen told KXCV/KRNW that the current catfish populations are healthy and sustainable, so there is no need to change the management strategies and harvest regulations, but adds that the changes could be an opportunity to improve the fisheries.
