LAREDO, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a teenager died in a single-vehicle wreck in Grundy County over the weekend.
The Patrol says the 15-year-old girl of Laredo wrecked on SE 60th St., six miles southeast of Laredo at 2:50 p.m. last Friday.
Authorities say the teenager was driving a 1993 Chevy Silverado that lost control on the gravel, traveled off the side of the road, struck several small trees and then a large tree, before returning to the roadway.
The teenager was transported to Wright Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 4:30 p.m. She was not wearing a seatbelt.
