MSHP: St. Joseph residents injured in wreck

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - Two elderly St. Joseph residents are recovering at the hospital after a single-vehicle wreck in Buchanan County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 83-year-old Paul Jackson was driving a 2001 Ford Crown Victoria last Thursday at 10:25 p.m. on Interstate 29 near U.S. 169 Highway.

The Patrol says the Ford traveled off the road and struck a ditch. Paul Jackson suffered moderate injuries while 79-year-old Joyce Jackson, a passenger, suffered serious injuries.

Both were taken to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph. Both were wearing a seatbelt.
