New equipment purchased for water treatment in Maryville

The Maryville City Council approved a purchase and installation for a piece of equipment at the city's wastewater treatment plant. City Manager Greg McDanel says the new motor for a blower will help with oxygen levels.

McDanel says the wastewater treatment plant does have two other functioning blowers, but they use the third when they're operating at capacity. The cost of the new motor blower from R-S Electric Motors is a little over 11,000 dollars.
