MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Nodaway County Health Department has confirmed that a second bat in the county has tested positive for rabies.
Back on July 14, the Health Department confirmed a rabid bat had been located. Health officials say people should never touch a bat as well as make sure their pets are vaccinated against rabies.
Health officials add that people should use extreme caution in dealing with all animals, especially unfamiliar ones.
