MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Northwest Regional Professional Development Center at Northwest Missouri State University announced honors for two area teachers.
Colin Pettegrew, a middle school teacher in the St. Joseph School District, and Todd Shifflett, a high school teacher in the King City R-1 School District, were honored as the Missouri Regional Teachers of the Year.
The award is a part of the Missouri Teacher of the Year program, sponsored by the state's Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
Pettegrew and Shifflett are now eligible to compete for the 2021-22 Missouri Teacher of the Year.
