ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - It's been a rough summer as corn producers across the Midwest have had their fair share of stress due to the recurring heatwaves and downpours during severe weather.
Despite that, Wayne Flannery, Field Specialist in Agronomy with the University of Missouri Extension, told KXCV/KRNW that recent crop forecasts show the corn belt has even chances to yield regular crop amounts.
Flanary adds that even though there are some parts of the corn belt that received little, or too much rain, the overall forecast for corn yields are average.
