JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - While some, like Indiana Jones, may fear snakes, the Missouri Department of Conservation is hoping you change your mind at their free program.

Missouri has 49 species and sub-species of snakes, but they are unnecessarily feared. Media Specialist Bill Graham told KXCV/KRNW that although snakes are common, most are harmless and are helpful in controlling pests.
