Nebraska City Council approves purchase for fire department

NEBRASKA CITY, Neb. - At the latest Nebraska City, City Council meeting, a much need item was finally approved.

The city council approved the purchase of self contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) for the Nebraska City's Fire Department.

According to City Administrator, Louis Leone, this comes after two months of missing Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) relief grants.

Leone adds that the expected FEMA relief is now considered a reimbursement-type grant.
