ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) recently gave the St. Joesph museum $50,000.
Sara Wilson, Executive Director of the St. Joseph Museum, told KXCV/KRNW that that money will be used to hire a storage solutions contractor to install compact and rolled storage systems to properly house and care the museum's large and diverse collection.
The St. Joseph Musuem is home to more than 200,000 objects, photos, archival materials and books.
The new storage ensures space for any new items donated while allowing the museum to safely store, preserve, and make their artifacts accessible for future generations.
