Trenton city council raises electric rate

TRENTON, Mo. - At the latest meeting, the Trenton City Council approved an increase to the base electric rate for $4 per month, raising the rate from $14 to $18 per month to pay off a loan from a winter storm in February.

Also happening at the meeting, according to City Administrator Ron Urton, an individual was interesting in purchasing portable restrooms owned by the city.

The city attorney will draft an agreement for review at the next council meeting.
