PICKERING, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says two women died and three children were injured after a two-vehicle wreck in Nodaway County.
The Patrol says 30-year-old Tiffany Piveral and her passengers, an 8-year-old boy, a 9-year-old girl, and an 11-year-old boy all of Hopkins, wrecked on MO Highway 148 and 192nd Street, one mile south of Pickering at 5:48 p.m. Wednesday.
Authorities say Piveral was southbound in a 2017 Chevrolet Traverse when it crossed the center line and collided with a northbound 2009 Ford Fusion, driven by a 17-year-old girl from Pickering.
Piveral was pronounced dead at 6:08 p.m. and was transported to Price's Funeral in Maryville. The 17-year-old girl was pronounced dead at 6:30 p.m. and was transported to Bram Funeral Home in Maryville.
The 8- and 11-year-old were taken to Mosaic Life Care in Maryville with moderate injuries, while the 9-year-old was transported by Airvac to Children's Mercy in Omaha with serious injuries. All victims were wearing a seatbelt, except Piveral.
