ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says one man is in serious condition after a two-vehicle wreck in Buchanan County earlier this week.
The Patrol says Mfariji Mwenebatu of Kansas City, 24, wrecked southbound on I-29, near I-229, at 11:50 p.m. Monday.
Authorities say Mwenebatu was driving a 2009 Toyota Corolla when it slammed into the rear of a semi. The semi was parked on the shoulder and partially blocked the merge lane from I-229 South to I-29 South.
Mwenebatu was transported to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph with serious injuries.
