JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Conservation is now accepting applications for the Missouri Outdoor Recreational Access Program, or MRAP.
Through the program, landowners can open their private land to various public activities and receive annual incentive payments in return.
Payments vary from $15 to $25 per acre enrolled, depending on which activities a landowner chooses to allow on their property.
MDC Spokesperson Joe Jerek also says financial assistance will be available to participating landowners to help improve wildlife habitats on their properties.
Applications for MRAP are being accepted through October 15. For more information or to apply to the program, you can visit mdc.mo.gov/mrap-landowners.
