NEBRASKA CITY, Neb. - At its latest meeting, the Nebraska City Council waived the Nebraska Housing Authority taxes with a PILOT program, or Pay In Lieu of Taxes.
City Administrator Louis Leone told KXCV/KRNW that PILOT was started back in 1963.
In other business, Leone says the city worked with Tree City Trail Committee to develop walking-in cycling routes around the city and the council authorized a $50,000 grant with the Kropp Foundation.
The council also passed an ordinance adopting the budget for the 2021-22 Fiscal Year.
