Pfizer booster shots are now available at Hy-Vee

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa - Pfizer booster shots are now available at an area grocery chain. According to a press release, booster shots are available at all Hy-Vee pharmacy locations.

The CDC says the Pfizer booster is approved for long-term care facility residents, people ages 65 and older, people ages 16 and older with underlying medical conditions or who are at increased risk for COVID-19 exposure.

The booster is recommended at least six months after someone's second vaccine dose.
