WASHINGTON - According to one website, several states need to look at addressing the problem of underprivileged children.
The website WalletHub says Missouri has the 15th most underprivileged children in the country. As for neighboring states, Kansas ranked 31st, Iowa ranked 40th and Nebraska ranked 43rd.
WalletHub looked at several metrics, including the number of single-parent homes, children in foster care, children in poverty stricken households, food insecurity and several other metrics.
The state with the most underprivileged children was Mississippi, while the least was New Jersey.
