COVID-19 booster shots to be offered next month

COVID vaccine

MARYVILLE, Mo. - Northwest Missouri State University in partnership with the Nodaway County Health Department are offering COVID-19 Pfizer booster shots to the Maryville community.

Regional Marketing Consultant at Mosaic Brooklyn Adam says the clinic will not be giving standard COVID-19 shots for those who have not received their first shot, but will provide booster shots to the recommended ages of 65 and older, as well as 18 to 64 year-olds with underlying health conditions or are at an increased risk for exposure and transmission.

These groups include health-care workers, teachers, day-care staff, grocery workers and those living in large communities or prisons. The booster shot should be administered at least six months after completion of the previous vaccine shots.

Registration and your CDC vaccine card is required. The vaccine booster clinic will be at the Hughes Fieldhouse on Tuesday, November 9. For more information, visit mymlc.com/vaccine or call 660-562-2755.
