FALLS CITY, Neb. - Falls City took some recent events into mind at their latest city council meeting. Updating their flood plain map for 2021 was on the agenda, which is a requirement for the FEMA flood insurance program.
City Administrator Kevin Cluskey told KXCV/KRNW that the flooding that happened in the second half of 2019 was part of the reason for these updates.
Cluskey adds that flooding happens more regularly than other natural disasters in the lower parts of Nebraska.
