CHILLICOTHE, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Conservation is offering a free driving tour this weekend in the KXCV/KRNW region.
The labeled historic area of the North Wetlands showcases the progressing fall colors of the Poosey Conservation Area to the public.
Media Specialist with MDC Bill Graham recommends a vehicle with high clearance as there will be rough roads. Gates open at noon Sunday, October 17 with the last vehicle allowed in at 4 p.m.
The roads will also have recommended stops where you can get out and hike the forest, as well as a portable sawmill demonstrating how lumber logs are cut.
