MSHP: Amazonia man dead after wreck

AMAZONIA, Mo. - An Amazonia man is dead after a two-vehicle wreck in Andrew County this week.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Billy Mooney, 53, was driving northbound on a motorized bicycle on Route K, three miles south of Amazonia.

At 7:25 p.m. Wednesday evening, a 2012 Chevrolet Traverse rear-ended the bicycle, ejecting Mooney who was pronounced dead 20 minutes after the accident.
