RUSHVILLE, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says four-people are injured after a three-vehicle crash in Buchanan County over the weekend.
The Patrol says Jamie Arb of Vienna, 34, crashed on US Highway 59, one mile west of Rushville, at 9:35 p.m. Friday.
Authorities says Arb was driving a 2006 Chrysler Town and Country that struck the rear of a 2006 Lexus 400h that was stopped in traffic, driven by 21-year-old Luke Spencer of Kansas City, Missouri with passenger 18-year-old Kourtney Koc of Prairie Village, Kansas.
The Lexus then struck the rear of a 2010 Chrysler Town and Country that was also stopped in traffic, driven by 57-year-old Thomas Smith, with passenger 30-year-old Chelsey Mestagh, both of Atchison, Kansas.
The Lexus ran off the roadway and traveled down an embankment. Spencer had serious injuries, Arb and Koc had moderate injuries, Mestagh had minor injuries, and Smith had no injuries. All were taken to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph and all were wearing seatbelts.
